Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Simulation Baseball website at simulationbaseball.com and the game at play.simulationbaseball.com (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Internet Businesses LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Contact: [email protected].
1. Information we collect
- Email address. When you join the waitlist on our homepage (submitted through Formspree) or when you create a game account.
- Account information. Your display name and the credentials needed to sign in to the game.
- Gameplay data. The leagues, franchises, rosters, transactions, messages, and simulation results you generate while playing.
- Cookies and sessions. The game uses cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. Analytics cookies are described below.
- Analytics data. We use Microsoft Clarity (session behavior, heatmaps, and session replays) and Umami (privacy-focused, cookie-free page analytics) to understand how the Service is used.
- Server logs. Standard technical logs, including IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To operate the game and keep your leagues, franchises, and stats working;
- To manage the waitlist and send beta invitations and Service announcements;
- To understand usage, fix bugs, and improve the Service;
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- To respond when you contact us.
3. Service providers
We share data with a small number of processors that help us run the Service. Each receives only what it needs for its job:
- Formspree processes waitlist form submissions;
- Brevo delivers our email, such as beta invitations and announcements;
- Microsoft Clarity provides behavioral analytics for the Service;
- Hetzner provides the servers that host the Service and its data.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. We share data only with the service providers listed above, or if the law requires it, or as part of a change in ownership of the business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data).
5. Cookies
The game uses first-party session cookies that are necessary for signing in and playing. Microsoft Clarity may set cookies to distinguish sessions for analytics. Umami does not use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to the game.
6. Data retention
We keep waitlist and account emails while the waitlist and your account are active. Gameplay data is kept while your account exists, and note that all beta leagues and gameplay data will be wiped before the 1.0 release. Server logs and analytics data are kept for limited operational periods and then deleted or aggregated.
7. Deleting your data
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time, either by emailing [email protected] or by using the account page inside the game. We will complete deletion requests within a reasonable time, except for records we need to keep for security, legal, or accounting reasons.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and you must be at least 16 to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond to legitimate requests within the time required by applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves, especially during the beta. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify active users. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
