Announcing Simulation Baseball

We are building Simulation Baseball: a deep baseball front-office and franchise simulation that runs entirely in your browser. Today we are opening the beta waitlist.

Why we are building this

If you love baseball simulation, you already know the two-part deal you have been living with. The deep sims are extraordinary pieces of software, and they are stuck in another era. They are desktop downloads. They look and feel like 2005. And the moment you want to play an online league with friends, you are back to a commissioner exporting a file, emailing it around, and waiting for everyone to send it back.

We thought the depth was worth keeping and the rest was worth rebuilding. So that is what we are doing.

Simulation Baseball is a real front-office game. You scout, draft, trade, sign free agents, run a farm system, set your lineups and rotation, and a purpose-built engine plays out every game pitch by pitch into full box scores, statistics, and standings. It weighs hundreds of factors and models real player development, aging, morale, and personality. The depth is the point. We even document how the systems work.

The difference is everything around the depth:

• It is in the browser. Nothing to download, nothing to install, and it works the same on your laptop and your phone.
• Online leagues are real-time. Up to 30 human managers in one league, with AI running any open teams. No file shuttling, ever.
• It is free to play in the beta, with no microtransactions and no pay-to-win. Ever.

What is next

We are targeting a Fall 2026 launch and inviting beta managers in waves before then. This blog is where we will share build updates, dev notes, and the thinking behind the engine as we go.
